Surfactant Soap is a concentrated, high-foaming softwash surfactant designed for professional house washing, roof cleaning and exterior surface cleaning. It is formulated for use with sodium hypochlorite-based cleaning solutions and helps improve wetting, coverage and contact with the surface during application.

The concentrated formulation helps the cleaning solution spread more evenly across exterior surfaces while producing visible foam that allows the operator to easily identify treated areas. This makes Surfactant Soap particularly suitable for professional softwash applications where controlled application and consistent surface coverage are important.

Where to Use

Surfactant Soap is designed for professional exterior cleaning and softwashing applications. It can be incorporated into suitable cleaning solutions used for roofs, exterior walls, masonry, rendered surfaces and other compatible building exteriors.

The product is particularly useful where improved wetting and foam are required to achieve more consistent distribution of the cleaning solution.

Suggested Dilution

General Duty: 1:1000 with water
Heavy Duty: 1:500 with water

The appropriate dilution will depend on the cleaning equipment, surface and level of foam required. Start at the recommended general-duty concentration and increase only where additional foam or surface hold is required.

Application & Use

Add the required amount of Surfactant Soap to the prepared cleaning solution and mix thoroughly before application. When used as part of a sodium hypochlorite-based softwash system, ensure all components are suitable for the intended cleaning process and substrate.

Apply the prepared solution evenly using appropriate professional softwash equipment. Good coverage should be achieved without excessive application or unnecessary runoff.

Allow sufficient dwell time for the cleaning solution to work. The treated surface should remain wet during the cleaning process and the solution must not be allowed to dry on the substrate.

Excessive surfactant addition is not recommended. Increasing the concentration beyond what is required can create unnecessary foam, increase rinsing requirements and may not provide any additional cleaning benefit.

Always test the prepared cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area before proceeding with the entire surface.

For best results, select the dilution according to the surface, cleaning conditions and equipment being used. Thorough rinsing after cleaning is recommended where appropriate for the substrate.

Safety and Handling:

• Avoid inhalation of the vapor, prolonged skin contact, and particularly eye contact.
• Wear protective clothing to minimize skin contact and wear goggles where splatter is likely.
• Where spills occur, soak up liquid spillage with sand/sawdust and dispose of it sensibly.
• Do not permit runoff to sewer, stormwater, or open bodies of water.
• Wear protective footwear and seek assistance if necessary.
• Storage- no specific issues, store away from food and drink.

First Aid Measures:

Ingestion- If swallowed, wash out mouth with water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Drink at least two (2) glasses of water. Seek medical attention.
Eye – Wash with copious amounts of water for 15 minutes holding eyelid(s) open. Take care not to rinse contaminated water into the non-affected eye. Seek medical attention.
Advice to Doctor -Treat symptomatically.

Important Notes: Surfactant Soap

Do not apply and allow the product to dry on the surface.
Avoid application in full sun, on hot surfaces or in hot windy conditions. Ensure weather conditions are suitable; do not apply if the surface temperature is below 10°C and raining. Do not apply if the temperature exceeds 30°C.
