Evolving Elements Tannin & Oil Cleaner Concentrate is a professional-grade, high-strength timber cleaner formulated to quickly lift and draw out tannins, natural oils, and surface contaminants from exterior timber. It also helps to remove weathered and oxidised coatings, restoring timber’s natural tone and preparing it for recoating.

This product is not a paint or varnish stripper — to remove sound coatings, use a coatings stripper or mechanical sanding. Safe for use on all exterior timber, including decking, outdoor furniture, cladding, screening, and fences. (Not suitable for interior applications.)
It restores timber’s natural tone and prepares it for coating or sealing.

Recommended Dilution

Directions

1. Remove loose dirt and debris by sweeping or rinsing with water.
2. Shake or stir Evolving Elements Tannin & Oil Cleaner thoroughly before use.
3. Wet the timber surface with clean water before applying.
4. Apply the cleaner using a stiff-bristle brush or broom. Avoid spot cleaning to prevent patchy results.
5. Allow to dwell 10–15 minutes, keeping the surface damp. Do not allow the product to dry.
6. Scrub vigorously with a stiff brush or broom. (Do not use wire brushes.)
7. Rinse thoroughly with a high-pressure cleaner or the maximum pressure from a garden hose until all residues are removed.

Coverage

8 – 10 m² per litre (ready-to-use), depending on surface condition.

Safety & Handling

• Exterior use only. Wear gloves and eye protection.
• Avoid contact with metals, painted or glass surfaces – rinse immediately.
• Slip hazard when wet – use caution on treated areas.
